Based on the events of the 1960's revolutions initiated by students in Paris, this opening sequence is based on a narrative which follows a small group of university students and individuals whom are organising a march and parts of the revolution against the government and protesting against aspects of societal structure.
Location
The church location was chosen to be their meeting place, used for their preparations. A location which contrasts with the reasons and actions - the right for individuals to visit and have access to the boarding areas of the opposite gender - which initiated their revolts, which then expanded and developed into much greater purposes for the nation and surrounding nations.
That was purposely chose to enhance the evidently desired and requested rebellious attitudes of the students. That choice of location as a base for the group also represents the overtaking of changing of the of the ruling structure by such a group during the events on which this narrative is based.
Props
The radio is a significant prop as it relates with the audible sound during this opening sequence, which is that of real sound footage of the protests during the events of the revolution.
